What is it?

Being a professional in Occupational Therapy, allows to study the aptitudes of the people, to develop adaptations to their physique and environment, adapting diverse instruments to support their disability, achieving with it the maximum or ideal development of their residual capacities, for with this, achieve a productive and self-sufficient life from all points of view.



A therapist of this nature, has a specific and multidisciplinary training, so our plans and programs of studies have been designed to meet the needs demanded by society and make use of therapeutic methods with high academic and ethical level, according to scientific development , technological and humanistic, addressing within the general range of subjects the following: Ergonomics, Orthotics, Deontology and legislation, Bioethics, Biostatistics, among others.
 

Why study this degree?

Due to the need for all disabled patients to be incorporated and integrated into society, to their daily tasks and even to work, studying the skills that the person may have, developing changes in the environment, adapting various instruments to support their disability, developing with this the residual capacities of each patient so that he reaches a productive and self-sufficient life from all points of view.

Where do the Graduates in Occupational Therapy work?


The Degree in Occupational Therapy has great influence in the entire field of physical rehabilitation and integration of the disabled patient to their daily activities, work, etc. but they also intervene in areas where there is no disability such as: in sports, aesthetics, disease prevention, relaxation, stress management, prevention of muscular disorders, strengthening, etc.

These graduates have, as already mentioned, a very broad field of work, with high expectations and security of contracts, both in the private and in the public initiative, that is: Hospitals of the Secretariat of Health, Social Security, Multiple Care Centers , Rehabilitation clinics, such as those that are part of the DIF infrastructure, Children's Rehabilitation Centers (telethon), private clinics, etc.
